According to the latest amendment to the Companies Act (amendment to ZGD-1K, published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 18/2021, dated 9 February 2021), companies must also indicate the company’s e-mail address in the application for registration of the company formation, which will be entered in the Business Register of Slovenia (AJPES). Existing companies must enter their email address in the register within one year of the law coming into force, i.e. by 24.2.2022.

The obligation applies to corporations and partnerships as well as to economic interest groupings and branches of foreign companies. The obligation does not apply to sole proprietors.

The company’s e-mail address is public information and is published on the AJPES ePRS website and is accessible to all users of the business register in Slovenia.

Failure to comply with the provision on entering the electronic address in the register is punishable by a fine under Article 685 of the Companies Act.
